About the Owner
Anne Kathleen Smith is a native born and raised in Dallas, TX. She has more than 30 years of insurance and benefits expertise in both Carrier and Broker capacities.
Working with Companies like Prudential and Humana in addition to a 17-year tenure with Mutual of Omaha as an Underwriter and Customer Care specialist provided the strong foundation on which she has built her reputation as a knowledgeable and dedicated professional.
Prior to joining Goodwin Benefits she worked with another local brokerage as their Small Group Manager, selling and servicing Small Businesses all over the State of Texas.
Anne is also a member of the National Association of Benefits & Insurance Professionals (NABIP) and has held the General Agent Life & Health license in the State of Texas since 1986 and continues her professional growth by attending Continuing Education classes offered by NABIP and local Insurance Carriers. In addition, Anne has achieved the Long-Term Care Partnership Certification, and the Small Group Certification approved through the Texas Department of Insurance.

The opening of Goodwin Benefits Group in 2007 transferred clients from a large consulting firm (CBIZ Benefits & Insurance Services) which Anne has continued to service to this day. She specializes in assisting small and medium sized business owners to identify, evaluate, implement, and manage quality employee benefit programs. Assisting clients and educating them with Compliance tools and Benefits Administration is an integral part of what Anne does that makes her effective and a needed advisor to her clients. Anne is also instrumental in assisting individuals with Health & Life insurance needs for under age 65 and those that are Medicare eligible.
